Summary: "Art in Growth" is an artistic-didactic and cultural project that seeks to promote the different manifestations of art: music, plastic arts and dance as artistic expressions in full development. The project is an opportunity for the community to access these quality activities.

The proposed activities are concentrated in two groups:

  • artistic-didactic and cultural activities for the community; and
  • Art workshops aimed at children and young people with different capacities from the Konrad Adenauer School.
The artistic activities involve dance and musical shows, concerts and pictorial exhibitions to be performed in scenarios of Guayaquil and Samborondón, with the direct participation of students and teachers of UEES art.

The art workshops of dance, music and painting will be dictated to children and young people with different capacities from the Konrad Adenauer Inclusive Center. The execution of these workshops will allow the practice of these artistic disciplines by individuals in vulnerable state and with economic limitations to access it.

Summary: The project aims to be a point of convergence between the needs of educational and psychosocial support of the school Felipe Costa von Buchwald and the possibilities of providing these services by the professionals and students of the School of Psychology of the UEES.

The project is divided into two stages, in which an intervention will be carried out as follows:

  • in the first stage, from May to August, students will be assessed in two (2) areas: self-esteem and autoconception. The objective is to establish a baseline to be able to contrast the results of the workshops later.
  • in the second stage, from September to November, students will be assessed in emotional intelligence. The objective is to establish a baseline to be able to contrast the results of the workshops later.

Summary: The planned activities are grouped into:

  • Artistic presentations – pedagogical and cultural for the community.
  • Art workshops aimed at children and adolescents from inclusive educational centers of the locality.

Summary: The purpose of this linkage project is to provide educational support to children whose ages range from 0 to 12 years of age in the "Cristo Rey children's Village". You need to know the characteristics and needs that are presented in the development of children. The project is designed in three stages, it is noteworthy that the proposed activities are according to the age of the children: in the first stage will proceed to determine the flaws found to then provide the educational support proposed by the project. An assessment of the development of children will be carried out to establish a starting line. The second stage will raise and carry out an intervention on the part of the students of the UEES in order to provide the necessary and timely support to the children of the village.

The intervention will consist of a series of exercises scheduled for each age, areas and flaws found in children through diagnosis. These exercises will be carried out in a group and/or individual manner, depending on the needs of the boys and girls. The use of the Portage Guide, which contains items for areas and ages, will be taken into account for the exercise of the exercises. It also measures qualitatively if the child has reached or increased their knowledge in the different areas. Finally, in the third stage of the project, a second evaluation will be carried out with the children to show that the proposed objectives have been reached.

Summary: This project aims to be a point of convergence between the needs of educational and psychosocial support of the school Felipe Costa von Buchwald and the possibilities of providing these services by the professionals and students of the School of Psychology UEES . The project has three stages. In the first stage, teachers will be assessed in three areas: emotional intelligence, resilience and burnout. These results will be conducted in workshops. In the second stage will be carried out an intervention with the students of the school to raise awareness on some very relevant topics of full topicality and that they constitute very important risk factors in face of the health of the individual. In the third stage the intervention with the families will take place. This intervention will aim at the information, the promotion of techniques and strategies for the improvement of the parent-child relationship and the promotion of health.


2016-Environmental Sciences

Project: Strengthening local management and management capacities of the Loma Alta Communal Ecological Reserve (RECLA) as a tool for the conservation of natural resources.
Summary: This project is a proposal to strengthen the management and management capacities of the biodiversity present in the Loma Alta community and there are several expected products:

  • generate knowledge about the structure and function of the dry and humid forests premontanes of the communal Ecological Reserve Loma Alta (RECLA) and on the community;
  • to produce scientific articles on the topic of ecology, wildlife management, protected area management, management and resolution of socio-environmental conflicts;
  • develop proposals for protected area management plans and land use plans that integrate territorial ordering concepts for the surrounding cities;
  • promote the synergy of multidisciplinary work between the Faculty of Liberal Arts (School of Environmental Sciences, Psychology, education), Faculty of Economics and Business Sciences (School of Hotel and Tourism), Faculty of International Studies and Faculty of communication to promote the scientific-academic situation in relation to projects of linkage.
