2. What special services does the School of International Studies offer?
The School of International Studies offers:
a) More courses in English than any other institution of higher learning in the country. A wider variety of courses makes it possible for students to complete their studies without interruption.
b) Quality education delivered by professors from all continents with advanced degrees from the best universities in the world: Harvard, Tulane, Syracuse, Michigan, Kansai Gaidai, etc.
c) Four-year academic programs in English that can be completed at the UEES-- no need for students to transfer. Outstanding students are able to complete their studies faster.
d) More degree programs than any other English university program in Ecuador. More options and greater flexibility.
e) A wide variety of programs for International Students . Programs range from Medical Rotations, Ecology, Sustainable Development for Indigenous communities, to History and Culture of Latin America and Ecuador and Intensive Spanish as a second language |

4. Are the School for International Studies' credits recognized in the other countries?
Yes, at more than 3000 college and universities. They are also transferable to thousands of institutions of higher learning in Europe, Latin America, USA, and Asia. Students have transferred their credits to Harvard, Cornell, Georgetown, University of Miami, etc. Our students have studied at renown universities around the world. |
5. What other advantages does the School of International Studies offer to students?
a) Same credit systems available at universities in countries like Canada, U.S.A. and others makes it easy for International students to transfer to universities in other countries.
b) Its library contains two important data bases in English (Academic Search Premier and Business Source Premier) that are also found in the best colleges and universities in the U.S. These important resources contain more than 2,000,000 pre-selected, full-text articles in business, economics, science, technology, literature, social science, the arts, etc.
c) To strengthen the ability of its students to function as a professional internationally, the School for International Studies offers a system similar to the Sócrates model of Europe.
In this format, students may begin their studies in UEES, spend a year at a university in country "B" (France, England, etc.), a third year studying at a university in country "C" (Japan, Belgium, U.S., Spain, etc.), and a final year at UEES. Please inquire about the many others options of Socrates model.
d) Double majors without increasing the length of study. Students graduating with two majors (eg. one in management and another in finance) improve their opportunities for professional success.
e) Combine major with one or more minors --offer future employers a variety competencies and skills.
f) B.A. or B.S. degrees granted printed in English and a degree ("Ingeniero" or "Licenciado") printed in Spanish.
g) Bilingual transcripts (English - Spanish).
